PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), in its drive against drug trafficking, has carried operations in Peshawar and seized 37.5 kilogram heroin, 4,000 psychotropic tablets and 14.5 kilograms hashish.
The ANF team also arrested seven offenders involved in drug trafficking and impounded two vehicles during the operations. Most of the recovered heroin was being transported abroad. The value of the seized drug is Rs 275 million in international market.
The ANF Peshawar apprehended an accused namely Mari Khel, a resident of Khyber Agency near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar, while he was travelling to Rawalpindi from Peshawar in a passenger van and recovered 2.8kg hashish from his personal possession.
