Peshawar ASO seizes items worth Rs 942m in 10 months

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), Peshawar, confiscated smuggled items, including vehicles worth Rs 942.57 million during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year 2015-16.

As per details, the Peshawar ASO seized the items worth Rs 1709.67 during same corresponding period of last year 2015-16. The department seized items almost Rs 767.1 million less than the last year.

The ASO impounded almost 53 more vehicles as compare to last year, as it impounded 162 non-duty paid vehicles worth Rs 273.55 million during first ten months of running fiscal year.

It may mention here that it impounded 109 vehicles worth Rs 165 million during same period of last fiscal 2014-15.
