Peshawar Customs again maintains its brilliance by generating Rs880.94m revenue

PESHAWAR: The Customs House Peshawar maintained its glory by collecting Rs880.94million more net revenue against the assigned target in the two months of second quarter in the current FY2017-18.

This was stated by Collector Customs Gul Rahman at the Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar in a talk with Customs Today on Wednesday.

The Collector Customs said the Peshawar Customs performed brilliantly by showing a net revenue collection of Rs7333.40million against Rs6452.46million which was allocated target of collection for the second month of the current FY 2017-18.

The Peshawar Customs has generated Rs880.94million more revenue during two months with 13.65 percent difference between the target of revenue collection and the revenue earned during the second quarter of current FY2017-18.

According to further detail shared with Customs Today, the MCC Peshawar has received Rs2696.38million Customs Duty in two months of second quarter during the recent FY2017-18.

The Customs House Peshawar has got Rs79.44million more CD in two months with 2.95 percent difference between the target of revenue collection and the amount collected during the second quarter of current FY2017-18.

The Collector Customs further said the MCC Peshawar collected Rs729.04million more Sales Tax in two months of second quarter with 36.95 percent difference between the target of revenue and collection made by the MCC Peshawar during September and October of the current FY.

The MCC Peshawar generated Rs2702.34million ST against Rs1973.30million assigned target of revenue collection for the second quarter of the current FY2017-18. In the same way, the Customs House Peshawar has received Rs81.34million Federal Excise Duty against Rs53.58million earmarked target for the second month of current quarter during FY 2017-8.

The MCC Peshawar calculated Rs27.66million more revenue from the FED in two months of second quarter with 51.62 percent difference with respect to the target assigned and genuine collection showed by the Customs House Peshawar in two months of second quarter in current FY2017-18.

The Collector Customs further informed CT that the Peshawar Collectorate has done a brilliant duty in wage by collecting Rs1774million A.I.T/WHT against Rs1729.20million allocated target for the two months of second quarter with 2.59 difference between the assigned target and the collection done at the end of October of current FY2017-18.

The Collector Customs lauded the performance of all customs officials for such a nice collection of net revenue against the earmarked target for the collection of revenue.
