Peshawar Customs collects Rs1647.12m against set target of Rs1795.05m

PESHAWAR: The Modal Customs Collectorate, Peshawar collected Rs1647.12 million against the Rs1795.05 million of October 2015 showing shortfall of minus Rs08.45 percent as compared to previous year with total difference of Rs-147.93 million rupees.

According to  statistical data collected from Peshawar Customs House, in head of Customs duties Rs591.08 million were collected in November 2016 while the total collection of this month in previous year was Rs697.88 million which were less than the previous year showing percentage  Rs-15.96 percent while the difference in rupees was minus Rs112.24 million.

In term of sale tax on import the house collected Rs413.35 against the figure of previous year of Rs478.61 million in November 2015. The difference in percentage was recorded Rs-13.47 percent and million while the difference in rupee was recorded minus Rs65.26 million.

In head of sales tax Levied as Federal Excise Duty on Palm oil the custom house collected Rs164.14 million against November 2015 being recorded as Rs187.52 million rupees. The total difference in percentage in this sector was recorded minus 12.47 percent while the difference in rupees was minus Rs-23.38 million.

In head of Federal excise duty on import the department collected Rs15.94 million against the previous year of 2015 November, which was Rs22.35 million. The difference in rupees was noticed minus Rs6.41 million while the difference in Percentage was minus 28.68 percent.

In term of withholding tax the house collected Rs401.81 million against the previous year 339.43 million for November 2015. The difference in rupees was noticed minus 62.38 million while the difference in percentage was recorded 18.38percent.

The performance of the house for the month of November 2016 was not better as compare to April 2015 in the previous financial year as the revenue show shortfall of minus 8.45 percent as compare to November 2015.

The total collection figures Rs1647 million against 1795.05 million previous year month of November 2015 October. The total difference in rupees was minus Rs147.93 million.
