PESHAWAR: Custom officials have burnt different expired confiscated items at the Customs House Peshawar here on Thursday.
Deputy Collector Ubaidullah said that they have burnt expired confiscated item including banned and unregistered Indian medicines, fake and expired cigarettes, expired batteries, shampoos, pills, videos cassettes etc.
“These burnt goods are expired and worthless,” he informed reporters, adding that some expired goods will be burnt on Friday, in order to made space in warehouses. During this month Customs officials seized huge quantity of illegal commodities due which there was no space in the warehouses.
