Peshawar Dry Port generates Rs480.36m of duties & taxes during July FY2017-18

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Dry Port earned Rs480.36million of all duties and taxes during July Financial Year FY2017-18. The dry port received Rs7.631billion under all the heads during FY16-17.

According to details explained by Additional Collector Fazle Samad while talking with Customs Today, during July FY17-18, the Peshawar Dry Port generated Rs134.94million of Customs Duty (CD) while it did Rs2.71million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges.
Fazle Samad told CT that the Peshawar Dry Port got Rs190.84million of Sales Tax (ST) while it did Rs30.55 million of Sales Tax on Imports. The dry port earned Rs85.03million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) during July FY17-18. The Peshawar Dry Port received Rs0.90million of Federal Excise Duty on Imports during July FY17-18.
The same port generated Rs2972.31million of CD during FY16-17 while it did Rs2853.64million of ST. The dry port got the take of Rs1251.05million of AIT and it earned Rs41.25million of Federal Excise Duty on Imports during FY16-17.
