During a course of arguments, counsels for accused Ambreen Gulzar and Sana Gulzar submitted before the court that Customs officials said he was driving a truck while coming from Afghanistan where he was stopped by the Customs officials for a routine checking.

During the course of checking, First Information Report claimed that the Customs officials recovered more than 26 Kilogram of hashish and five kilogram of heroin from the truck on the Torkham Border.

The accused was charged under Section-9 of the Control of Narcotics Substance Act.

However during the course of arguments, the lawyers submitted that there was a contradiction in the statements of Customs officials’ witnesses. For the reason, the judge acquitted the accused smuggler.

When inquired from the Customs officials at the Customs House Peshawar, they said the narcotics were recovered from his possession due to which his truck along with drugs were impounded.
