PIA’s ownership officially transferred to new owners

The PIA Equity Limited chairman said that ownership had changed, but the commitment to serving Pakistan was stronger than ever. He said the airline’s rich heritage would be respected while efforts would be made to turn PIA into a modern airline meeting global standards.

The new management said PIA had entered a new phase of modernisation after a Rs125 billion equity injection, with plans to improve service standards and preserve the airline’s legacy.

The PIA Equity Limited chairman said the trust of the nation was not merely transferred through documents but had to be earned through consistent service.
