GUINEA: NCD Police Metropolitan Superintendent Ben Turi says officers involved in illegal activities will be dealt with accordingly.
A police mobile squad officer has been arrested, charged and suspended on the sport after he was caught smuggling betel nut into Port Moresby city.
NCD police metropolitan superintendent, Ben Turi says this swift action was done by the members of the police internal affairs unit who are also on duty this festive season, making sure police officers are also performing their duties accordingly.
Turi also applaud them for this quick action. Meantime, police has also commenced investigation into an alleged theft incident committed by mobile squad members mid last week. The victim laid complaint with the police commissioner for police to return his K10, 700 stolen from him and demand that those officers involved be charged for theft.
