Interestingly, when the Chief Commissioner asked for alternative supply of power, he was told that the Customs House lacked such facility as there was no alternate generator facility.

The two working elevators remained non-functional besides visitors to the Customs House faced difficulty to deal with their cases.

Talking to Customs Today, visitors said due to power failure their jobs could not be fulfilled due to non-functional of computers and other electronic machinery. They said that most of the filers and business personals could not scale through staircases.
