PR becomes consumer dealer of Pakistan Steel Mills

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has become a consumer dealer of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) after a meeting between PR Chief Executive Officer Javaid Anwar Boobak and Pakistan Steel Mills Chief Executive Officer Major General (retd) Zaheer Ahmad Khan held at PR headquarters here on Friday.

The PSM will soon issue a letter of consumer dealership to the PR in this regard and the PR will be able to purchase necessary items directly from the PSM under the consumer dealership instead of an open market.

It was decided in the meeting the PR will transport dolomite and limestone to the PSM from Jhampar and Matli and repair work of railway track to the PSM would be completed in two months.

The PSM CEO expressed his felicity on the restoration of the PR and said the restoration of the PR and PSM would play a vibrant role in the development of the country.

It was also decided in the meeting to increase the mutual contact and business cooperation between the both departments.
