PR issues introductory fair of Parcel Express

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Railways has announced introductory fare of the newly-inaugurated Parcel Express, which set to ply from Lahore to Karachi for businessmen.

According Railways official on Friday, the fare would be Rs 7.50 per KG from Lahore to Karachi, Rs 6.60 Lahore to Hyderabad, Rs 6 from Faisalabad to Hyderabad and Rs 6.60 from Faisalabad to Karachi.

While Rs 8.70 per KG will be from Karachi to Lahore, Rs 7.60 from Karachi to Faisalabad, Rs 7.60 from Hyderabad to Lahore and Rs 6.90 from Hyderabad to Faisalabad.

The introductory fare had implemented for one a month. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Railways recently started a Parcel Express Train from Lahore-Karachi-Lahore via Faisalabad. The running time of Parcel Train from Lahore to Karachi was around 22 hours and has 13 luggage vans and capacity of one luggage van was 10 tonnes.
