LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority has installed invoice monitoring system in Khan Baba restaurant and other restaurants in Lahore to plug revenue leakage.
As per details, teams of PRA, under the supervisions of additional commissioner enforcement took action against those restaurants, which are reluctant to pay tax on their heavy sales.
The PRA has also started monitoring of Yasir Broast, OPTP and another famous restaurant, as these were allegedly not paying sales tax to the authority.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PRA has started installing monitoring system, RIMS aimed to enhance the revenue of the provincial exchequer. It has also started a prize scheme to convince the masses for demanding sales tax compliant invoices from restaurants.
It is also learnt that the PRA will continue its crackdown against those restaurants which are not submitting sales tax as per their sales.
