PRA issues notice to 150 snooker clubs to pay 16pc sales tax

ISLAMABAD: The Punjab Revenue Authority has sent notices to 150 snooker and body building clubs of Rawalpindi after imposition of sales tax on these clubs.

According to details, the Punjab government has imposed sales tax on snookers and body building clubs. Now the PRA has sent registration notices to 150 clubs, while notices will be sent to remaining clubs soon.

Deputy Commissioner PRA Ikramul Haq has said that these clubs will be registered under section 25 of service act and ordered to these clubs to pay 16 percent sales tax per month after the registration.

The notice added that sales tax is imposed on all indoor games which are running as a business. And those clubs which will not register with PRA will be sealed.
