LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has sealed a renowned restaurant located in posh areas of Lahore due to alleged sales tax evasion.
According to the details, special teams of PRA have started crackdown against luxury restaurants which are involved in sales tax evasion. During this campaign, the PRA has sealed famous restaurant Yasir Broast in Chuburji Chowk on charge of sales tax evasion. Top officials of the PRA said that restaurant was earning huge profits but was avoiding to pay duties and taxes.
Earlier, on special directions of PRA Commissioner Javed Ahmad, the teams took action against Al Kabab, Namak Mandi and Zakir Tuka restaurants in Gulberg, Faisal town and Johar town and sealed them. The PRA has also confiscated the sales record of the restaurants.
