PRA to bring 60 more restaurants under RIMS network in Faisalabad

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has decided to broaden its network in Faisalabad and has shortlisted 60 restaurants to bring them in network in coming days.

Sources told Customs Today that the PRA has checked almost 60 restaurants in posh areas of the city in Faisalabad which are providing expensive food to citizens and they are earning millions of rupees but not registered for sales tax.

These restaurants will increase the revenue of the authority in coming days as it has already increased in past two years.

It is pertinent to mention here PRA has increased its revenues up to 35 percent in first six months of the fiscal year of 2016-17 as compared to the last year.

Restaurant invoice monitoring system will be installed in all restaurants that are providing services in posh areas of Faisalabad.

Meanwhile PRA has also started crackdown against restaurants that are failed to submit their taxes despite receiving notices. PRA has sealed many restaurants as well in recent actions.
