During the meeting, the Principal Appraiser Shafiullah inquired about the current status of the cases pending in the R&D Section and urged the officials to utilize all their available resources for early disposal of the cases. The principal appraiser also lauded the efforts of R&D officials into the said cases.

On the occasion, the R&D officials briefed the Principal Appraiser about the ongoing progress into the tax evasion cases and also presented latest development made into the case of importation of banned antibiotics.

The Principal Appraiser urged the R&D officials to evolve more comprehensive strategy to investigate the case and said that all officials should ensure proper sharing of intelligence information.

The officials expressed their matter of concerns over the issuance of explanation memos to them regarding the late coming on duty and said that the officials of intelligence wings across the world have no specific timings, as they are being conducted raids on intelligence  information even in the last hours of the day.

They feared that the explanation memos to the officials may affect the performance, as they would prefer to attend office first instead of attending court proceedings and launching raids on intelligence information.

The principal appraiser assured the R&D officials that he would raise the issue before the Collector-MCC Appraisement (East) Manzoor Hussain Memon.
