KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange Thursday closed almost flat with 8.07 points gain and reached 41412.04 points level.
The stocks recorded the highest trading level of 41631.55 points and lowest level of 41344.17 points, with the volume of about 116 million shares and value of 14.71 billion. As many as 423 companies were active; of which 199 advanced, 211 declined and 13 remained unchanged.
BO Punjab was the volume leader with 64.06 million shares, gaining Rs 0.73 to finish at Rs 17.28. It was followed by Aisha Steel Mill with 18.89 million shares, adding Rs 0.61 to end at Rs 14.84 and Askari Bank with 17.50 million shares, gaining Rs 0.43 to close at Rs 22.10.
The top three gainers were Unilever Foods with price per share of 5564.99 (264.99), Indus Motor Co with price per share of 1602.55 (76.31) and Hinopak Motor share of 1606.80 (74.30).
The top three losers were Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 7800 (-99.20), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 2879.10 (-86.74) and Service Ind. Ltd per share of 1345 (-50.55).
Earlier, the stocks gained 217 points to reach 41620.97 points level in early trading.
On Monday, the stock bounced back with 203.49 points to take the tally to another high level of 41403.97 points at closing. The stocks recorded the highest trading level of 41431.57 points and lowest level of 41199.85 points, with the volume of about 363 million shares and value of 12 billion.
