KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange Thursday remained under pressure and lost massive 362.28 points in the last session to drop to 49392.44 points level at closing.
The stocks recorded the highest trading level of 49857.09 points and lowest level of 49219.55 points, with the volume of over 220.42 million shares and value of Rs13.94 billion. As many as 389 companies were active; of which 91 advanced, 283 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
Azgard Nine was the volume leader with 12.35 million shares, shedding Rs 0.66 to finish at Rs 10.17. It was followed by Lotte Chemical with 11.12 million shares, losing Rs 0.44 to end at Rs 10.88 and K-Electric with 10.46 million shares, shedding Rs 0.26 to close at Rs 9.67.
The top three gainers were Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7750 (200), Archroma Pak with price per share of 731 (31) and Indus Dyeing share of 825 (28.90).
The top three losers were Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 9025 (-275), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 2653.71 (-139.66) and Philip Morris Pak per share of 2333 (-122.54).
