KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange opened positive on Friday as the benchmark KSE-100 gained 51 points to reach 32852.77 points level in early trading.
On Thursday, the stocks declined for the third consecutive session amid thin trade. The KSE 100-share index lost 126 points or 0.38% to close at 32,801.88 points. Dull trading was witnessed at the local bourse yesterday as traded volumes fell 35% to 86.4m and traded value declined by 27% to Rs4.6b/$44m. Bearish momentum continued in automobile sector stocks as Honda Car (HCAR), Pak Suzuki (PSMC) and Indus Motors (INDU) fell in the range of 0.7-1.7%, stated researchers a major brokerage. Total 323 active companies participated in the session of which 179 closed in decline, 212 in advance while 23 remained unchanged.
