LAHORE: The Punjab Board of Revenue has collected Rs 20 billion in the first seven months of fiscal year 2014-15.
According to the Board of Revenue officials, out of Rs 20 billion, the department collected Rs 11.028 billion as stamp paper duty. The amount has been deposited in government accounts.
On special directives of Board of Revenue senior member Nadeem Ashraf, the department is working on recoveries from all sources. Nadeem Ashraf is in continuous contact with commissioners and districts coordination officers for monitoring of recoveries. Ashraf also seeks report form district authorities on a weekly basis.
