Punjab budget for FY 2026-27 approved, to be presented tomorrow

LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab has approved the presentation of the provincial budget for the financial year 2026-27 on June 16, according to official sources.

Following the approval of the Chief Minister, the schedule for the budget presentation has been finalized. The Punjab government has completed preparations for the new fiscal year budget, which will be presented as an important financial document on June 16 in the provincial assembly.

Officials said the upcoming budget is expected to include a roadmap for provincial development, public welfare initiatives, and new projects aimed at improving key sectors.

Rs895.4 million allocated for Prime Minister’s Office in budget 2026-27

The budget will also include a multi-billion-rupee development program, with special focus expected on education, health, infrastructure, and social sector schemes.

Sources added that, on the direction of the Chief Minister, the budget has been aligned with public-friendly policies and development priorities.

On June 16, the Punjab government will present its financial policy, development targets, and expenditure strategy for the upcoming fiscal year.
