Punjab Excise extends deadline to submit token tax without fine

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department has announced deadline for submitting token tax on vehicles without fine till  June 30.

According to officials of the Motor Branch Lahore, the Excise secretary and other high officials have decided to extend date to facilitate the citizens. The department has extended the time to facilitate the people who could not deposit token tax during the last duration.

According to details, Lahore Excise has issued a notification to waive off the fine on token tax until 30 June, 2016, stating that the vehicles’ owners those who failed to pay their token tax would be able to get a chance to pay their pending amount without any fine.

According to Punjab Excise Director General Akram Ashraf Gondal, the department had taken this initiative to facilitate the citizens to pay their taxes. This notification was applicable on all categories of vehicles.
