Punjab excise secretary warns three directors on poor tax collection

LAHORE: Secretary Excise and Taxation Department Punjab Ali Tahir have warned three Directors on poor performance and low recoveries.

Ali Tahir has presaged three Directors to improve their performance within one month or get ready for departmental action. During Directors conference at Director General Office Shadman Lahore Ali Tahir strictly warned Director Motor Branch Lahore Suhail Arshad to improve Tax collection. Token tax collection of Motor Branch Lahore is not up to the mark which is in need to improve as soon as possible. Secretary Excise has given time of one month to improve performance otherwise departmental action will be taken.

Secretary reviewed the performance of all Directors of departments of all divisions and directed them to improve their performances. Ali Tahir also issued warning to Director Motor Branch Multan and Director Motor Branch Bahawalpur.Jam Siraj Ahmad Director Motor Branch Multan and Muhammad Sarfraz Wafa have also shown poor tax collection. During Directors conference at Directorate Office Lahore Secretary warns both Directors to make their recoveries better otherwise action will be taken against them.Director General Excise Ahmad Aziz Tarar, Additional Director General Masood ul Haq, Additional Secretary Excise Tax Imran Aslam and Irfan Yosuf were present in the conference. In addition Directors from across the Province were present there to present their performance report.
