LAHORE: The Punjab Government approved eight development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 6592.873 million.
These schemes were approved in the 22nd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D Spokesman.
Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&D, the approved development schemes included: Widening / Improvement of road from Misri More to Khewra via P.D. Khan length 52.78 km District Jhelum at the cost of Rs. 1209.307 million, Concrete Lining of Maggi-Magasson Link RD 0-58500 in Basira Sub Division, Muzaffargarh at the cost of Rs. 489.831 million, Rehabilitation of Ahmadpur Lamma Disty System, Rahimyar Khan at the cost of Rs. 1148.96 million, Rehabilitation of Jatoi Branch from RD:0+000 to RD:140+000 (Tail), Muzaffargarh at the cost of Rs. 496.396 million, Checking Erosive Action of Chenab River on Left Bank Near Gangwal, Papin Village U/S of Marala Barrage, Sialkot at the cost of Rs. 365.424 million, Raising of Shahpur Dam (Phase-I), Attock at the cost of Rs. 261.174 million, Management of Hill Torrents in Irrigation Zone, D.G. Khan-Sori Lund, Vidore, Mithawan, Kaha & Chachar (Sori Lund Hill Torrent) at the cost of Rs. 2060.487 million and Strengthening Field Research Station (FRS) at Babakwal and Research Laboratories of Irrigation Research Institute, Lahore Introducing Numerical Modeling of Hydraulic Structures at the cost of Rs. 561.294 million.
