LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department earned Rs 34.99 million entertainment duty.

The provincial government had imposed the duty on films, TV dramas, theatres and musical concerts.

The Punjab government had set a target of Rs 84 million for the department. In the first six months of fiscal year 2013-14 the excise had recovered Rs 36.78 millions which is 5 percent more than July 2014 to December 2014.

During the period of six months of the fiscal year 2014-15 excise and the Excise and Taxation Department recovered Rs 34.99 million which is 5 percent and Rs 1.789 million low than the revenue collected in the same period of last year.
