Punjab govt extends Rs 2.5m interest free loan to STZA

SIALKOT: Provincial Secretary Punjab Environment Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chouhan has said that the Punjab government has extended an interest free loan of Rs.2.5 million to Sialkot Tannery Zone Association (STZA) on the guarantee of Sialkot Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

While addressing a meeting of STZA at the SCCI here the other day, Chouhan asked the STZA to undertake the assignment of land acquisition and subsequent construction of tannery zone without any loss of time so that 274 tanneries already functioning in Sialkot may be shifted to the zone. He said that the process of shifting of tanneries will be commenced at the end of the year. He stressed the need for completion of infrastructure zone as soon as possible.
