Punjab govt introduces lucrative opportunities for investors

LAHORE: the Punjab government has extended lucrative and low-risk opportunities for investors especially in the field of energy, agriculture, livestock & dairy development, mines & minerals, tourism and infrastructure.

This was stated by Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti while addressing the participants of a Road Show, organised by OPC Punjab in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).

He said that the Punjab government was extending a pro-business environment and a positive policy framework to generate foreign and domestic investment. He said that on the special instructions of the Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif, the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) was providing complete technical assistance to investors to set up new projects in the province.

OPC Punjab Vice Chairman Khalid Shaheen Butt while briefing the participants of the Road Show about the investment opportunities in Punjab, said that Overseas Pakistanis should invest in various sectors in Punjab and provincial government would provide complete protection to their investment, he added.

He further said that Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab was a part of the efforts to bring foreign investments in Punjab. Additional Director General Ahmad Mubeen said the OPC was playing an active role to resolve the problems of the Overseas Pakistanis related to government agencies of Punjab.
