Punjab Mass Transit Authority issues 31-point code of conduct for metro bus service

RAWALPINDI: In order to further streamline mechanism of metro bus service, the Punjab Mass Transit Authority has released a 31-point code of conduct (CoC) for the service in the twin cities.

According to the CoC, every passenger will be bound to buy a token or smart card for travelling. There will be a ban on entry of beggars and no one will be allowed to sell anything inside the buses and premises of the terminals. Under the code of conducts, no passenger will be allowed to sit on seats allocated for special persons and women. Moreover, passengers will be allowed to talk to the driver during travelling.

There will also be a ban on movement of citizens on the track of the metro buses. Several people have been arrested in the twin cities for crossing the metro track, which is illegal as Section 144 has been imposed in this regard.
