Qatar’s GWC becomes service contractor for UPS

DOHA: Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC), Qatar’s leading logistics provider, has signed an agreement to become the ‘Authorized Service Contractor for UPS (ASC)’ for express parcel service in the State of Qatar as of June 2015.

The agreement allows GWC to provide UPS products and services, including express parcel delivery, as well as access to the UPS global network serving over 220 countries and territories worldwide.

Enhanced express parcel service in the State of Qatar will translate into an improved service portfolio for Qatari customers including better pick-up and delivery times and the option of Integrated Solutions including Multi-Modal offerings, Contract logistics and brokerage. There will also be an emphasis on improved technology to provide customers with shipping tools, visibility tools and track and trace tools.

“This partnership will help local and international businesses within Qatar by offering both speed of transit and a high level of customer service. This partnership will boost both UPS and GWC equally in the state of Qatar,” Commented Sheikh Abdulla bin Fahad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al-Thani, Chairman of GWC. “As a Qatari shareholding company, we take every opportunity to provide more services to the nation that has given us such a unique growth platform.”
