Quetta ASO seizes smuggled goods worth Rs25m at Dalbandin check post

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization seized smuggled goods at Dalbandin check post worth Rs.25 million from three vehicles.

According to details, Collector Irfan Javed received credible information by sources that huge quantity of foreign origin goods will be smuggled under jurisdiction of MCC Quetta.

The Collector forwarded the said information to Additional Collector Yasar Kaloor and Assistant Collector Humair Khan.

The Additional Collector formed a squad comprises Superintendent Saleem Maldokhail and Incharge check post Haji Mohammad Rafique who made nakabandi at Main RCD Road Quetta and started randomly checking of vehicles, during this activity the customs staff intercepted and seized three vehicles loaded with huge quantity of foreign origin smuggled goods.

The seized goods were comprising with foreign origin fabric, tires and auto parts in worth of Rs25 million the goods and vehicles seized while further investigation is under way.

The Customs officials told that Customs ASO Quetta is doing all possible resources to stop smuggling practices in the Baluchistan region.

Talking with the Customs Today Irfan Javed said that Customs staff working it’s all efforts to stop smuggling despite shortage of staff.
