Quetta Customs holds ceremony on 71st Independence Day

QUETTA: Collector Collectorate of Customs Ashraf Ali performed flag hosting ceremony to mark the 71st Independence Day.

According to details the Independence Day celebrations was held at Customs House customs staff and officials were gathered to participate in this auspicious event. The ceremony was followed by a parade which was led by Ahad Durrani.

Addressing the gathering Ashraf Ali congratulated the customs officers as well as entire nation and resolved to continue their efforts in the development and prosperity of the country.

Collector Ashraf appreciate the role of customs department in collection duty and taxes and its role in the promotion and strengthening of economic. He said  that Customs field offices such are customs Chaman, Taftan, check post Lakpass, Shella Bagh, Kolpur, Manikhawa, Surab, Dalbandin and Nokundi also showed excellent performance by foiling different attempts of smuggling. He said that there is marginable decrease is being witnessed in the smuggling attempts in the region.
