KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate, Quetta, has impounded two trucks, a Suzuki Pickup and other items worth over Rs 10 million during an action.
As per details, the Quetta Customs assistant collector concerned received information that non-duty paid vehicles and other contraband items would be smuggled into Pakistan from Afghanistan on which the officer formed a team under the supervision of Inspector Shaukatullah.
The team intercepted two trucks in its jurisdiction and recovered a Suzuki vehicle, silk cloth, cigarettes and frames of two vehicles. The team asked the driver to show the documents regarding the legal import of the items as well the trucks.
The driver could not show the documents; therefore, officials confiscated the items under customs laws and registered a case against the accused.
