Quetta Customs recovers huge quantity of smuggled goods

KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation,Quetta, has recovered Iranian brake oil, grease, dish antenna and receivers during different crackdowns.

Sources informed Customs Today that Collector Saeed Jadoon received information that huge a quantity of smuggled goods are being transported to other parts of the country. He directed Deputy Director Customs Intelligence Inam Ullah Khan to enhance surveillance in the area.

During the checking of vehicles, the customs team recovered 1,000 tins of Iranian brake oil and 800 tins of grease. The Customs team seized the goods along with truck. The market value of the impounded truck is Rs 5 million.

While during another crackdown, a customs team seized 200 dish antenna and receivers from a godown. No person was present at the time of raid. The Customs team during the checking of vehicles recovered 50 Android phones and 100 precious watches.
