KARACHI: Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has recovered a huge quantity of smuggled aluminium sheet and aluminium scrap.
Sources informed Customs Today that Director General Customs Intelligence Imtiaz Ahmad Khan received information about smuggling attempts. He directed Collector Quetta to use all possible resources to thwart the attempts. The Customs team intercepted a vehicle which was coming from Chaman and recovered 18 tons of aluminium sheets, 4 ton aluminium press bundle, and 2 ton other goods.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Customs intelligence recovered 300 kilogram of charas, six luxury vehicles and Iranian diesel during the first 20 five days of March. The Customs team also arrested six accused persons during a crackdown.
