KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigations Quetta has seized a huge quantity of hashish during a crackdown on Quetta-Chaman Road.
Sources told Customs Today that Customs Intelligence Director Iqbal Bhawana received information regarding smuggling of hashish. He constituted a customs raiding team which intercepted a truck on Chaman-Quetta Road and seized 160 kiograms of hashish.
Sources said that the market value of the seized hashish is in millions of rupees. The hashish was hidden in secret parts of truck. Customs team arrested the driver and his companion and started further investigations in this regard.
It is pertinent to mention here that customs intelligence and investigations authorities recently seized huge quantity of contraband items.
