QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement has seized smuggled goods worth Rs140 million in different intelligence based operations (IBOs)
Sources said that in line with the directives of Chief Collector Baluchistan Mohammad Saleem, Customs Quetta has expedited anti-smuggling activities. The intensified efforts have resulted in significant seizures and the recovery of illicit goods with an estimated value of Rs 140 million.
During a intelligence basedd operation, Ziarat Cross Enforcement unit SPO Masood Jamali and his team comprising Inspectors Sufyan Hashimi and Muhammad Ali successfully seized a staggering quantity of smuggled new tyres.
Similarly, during examination at the check post large quantity of gutkha, betel nut, hazardous salt, dried milk and inverters were recovered.
The successful operation was carried out under the direct supervision of Collector Enforcement Quetta Irfan ur Rehman and Additional Collector Umer Shafiq. The meticulous planning and execution of the operation were led by Deputy Collector Asad Aleem and the diligent team.
