Quetta Customs seizes smuggled milk powder, jams & energy drink

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs team seized different kinds of milk powder, jams and energy powder worth Rs4.89 millions including vehicle being used for smuggling.

Sources told Customs Today on 19.1.2019 that Director I&I Muhammad Akram Chaudhary received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle non-customs paid different kinds of milk powder, jams and energy powder from Quetta to Karachi.

After receiving this information, he constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Farooq Aiwan and others. The team, during a search operation on Highway intercepted a vehicle bearing registration no: TKD-9048.

During the search, the team impounded more than 200 cartons of milk powder, 200 cartons of jam, and a huge quantity of energy powder worth Rs4.89 million including truck being used in smuggling.

The team seized all the smuggled items and arrested two smugglers. Sources told that customs officials started investigations from the accused persons.
