KARACHI: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Quetta, has started crackdown on non-duty paid vehicles.
Sources informed Customs Today that Director Iqbal Bohwana has directed the officials concerned to take stern action against non-duty paid vehicles. During this action, a team of customs intelligence intercepted five non-duty paid luxury vehicles and one double cabin vehicle near Pak-Afghan border. The market value of the vehicles is Rs 130 million.
Sources said that the non-duty paid vehicles belonged to the same gang whose members are already arrested by law enforcement agencies. But authorities are conducting raids to arrest the ring-leader who is identified as Ghaffar Khan and he is an Afghan national.
