LONDON: A humpback whale has been officially spotted off the coast of Cornwall.
Marine Discovery were on a wildlife trip out of Penzance when the humped back appeared.
The team says it is the first one that they have ‘got a good look at’ in ten years.
Humpback whales are known for their song and are found near coastlines, feeding on tiny shrimp-like krill, plankton, and small fish.
They are powerful swimmers and use their massive tail fin, called a fluke, to propel themselves through the water and sometimes to leap out of it, or breach.
