NEW YORK: The new Chamber president and CEO will Jake Mangas, who has been with Northern Valley Catholic Social Service for ten years. He will take over the position after the beginning of the year.
“We know that Jake has those personal skills and the relationships, that he’ll be able to re-create those relationships with our members, new and old, and that’s really what we were focused on when we hired Jake,” said Doug Wright, Chamber of Commerce board president.
“We’re at a very key point in our local community,” Mangas said. “We see many generations of business leaders. So, I think it’s going to come down to a combination of experience, and also new energy and innovations as well, as we lead the Chamber forward in Redding.”
Mangas replaces Frank Strazzarino, who has been the Chamber president and CEO for the past 24 years.
Mangas said he will finish out the year at NVCSS before starting with the Chamber on January 4. He will be formally introduced on Wednesday, October 7.
