Refunds will be paid promptly: Chief Commissioner Hafiz Jamil Awaisi

MULTAN: The Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan Hafiz Jamil Awaisi assured the business community that their refunds will promptly be paid and no officer of RTO will go into the markets regarding this matter.

He said that if any RTO officer will try to blackmail the traders, the department will take stern action against the officer. He was addressing a meeting of the members of advisory committee at RTO, Multan. During the meeting the traders apprised the Chief Commissioner regarding refunds.

The Chief Commissioner said that we have desire to diminish the gulf between the RTO and the traders and we also want to share our reservations to them and for this the department strongly needs the co-operation of the traders.

The advisory committee also informed the Chief Commissioner to problems which the traders are facing at regional level and in response the Chief Commissioner assured them the department will take the appropriate steps to address the serious issues.

Commissioner Income Tax Multan Zubair Bilal, Khawaja Muhammad Shafiq, Zafar Iqbal Siddique, Ehtisham-ul-Haq, Yasir Ghafoor, Irshad Bhatti, Shaikh Saleem, Shahid Hameed, Zafar Amin Chohan, Ubaid-ul-Rehman, Zulfiqar Nasuhah, Shaikh Aslam, Ahmad Shujah, Muhammad Yasir and Naveed Ahmad were also present during the meeting.
