LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling approved another 14-day judicial remand of suspect who was arrested by the Customs Faisalabad on smuggling of cloth.
Earlier, he was produced before the court where Customs Court accepted his judicial remand for 14 days.
Faisalabad Customs again presented the accused before the court seeking extension in judicial remand, while the court accepted the customs plea and extended the remand.
The accused was booked during a raid at a warehouse following the recovery of huge quantity of smuggled cloth worth Rs 8 million by Customs Intelligence. The cloth was smuggled from Afghanistan and then sent to local markets.
