Rs19b customs duty collected in November

LAHORE: Pakistan Customs has collected revenue of Rs19 billion during the month of November 2013, according to Federal Board of Revenue.

According to official data, total customs duty collected during the month is recorded at Rs19 billion, 21 percent higher as compared with the same month of the previous financial year.

Details showed that FBR collected Rs169 billion during the period from July-November this fiscal year as against Rs140 billion collected during the same period of the previous fiscal year bringing the total collection during the current fiscal year to Rs806 billion, so far.

The total revenue in November includes Rs57 billion income tax, Rs85 billion sales tax and Rs13 billion Federal Excise Duty. However, Rs5 billion have been settled in refund issues.
