Rs5b package, 318 Ramazan bazaars: Govt providing economic relief to millions

BAHAWALPUR: Millions of consumers have been provided economic relief through Chief Minister Punjab’s special Ramzan package of Rs 5 billion at 318 Ramzan Bazaars established in 36 districts of the province.

Provincial Minister for Co-Operative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer Saturday said this during a surprise visit of Ramzan Bazaars here.

“Adequate quantum of sugar and flours have been placed at fair price shops at concessionary rates to ensure a sustainable and effective delivery mechanism of supplying these kitchen items to the consumers at the Ramzan Bazaars in the province”, he noted. Minister Malik Iqbal Channer checked both the quality and the prices of different edible items at different stalls. During inspection the consumers expressed their satisfaction regarding the arrangements made for their facilitation and economic relief by providing quality edibles at concessionary rates in the holy month of Ramzan.
