RTO issues rebate cheques amounting to Rs 153.626m to traders

FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) has issued rebate cheques amounting to Rs 153.626 million to various traders who belonged to Faisalabad, Sargodha, Jhang, Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh.

Special Assistant  to Chief Commissioner Sheikh Khalil Ahmed  told Customs Today that the process to clear refund claims would be completed soon. He said that the chief commissioner is taking keen interest in clearance of the rebate claims without any further delay.

He said that the traders of Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will take benefit from this process of rebate refund.

Meanwhile, the Faisalabad Regional Tax Office (RTO) Zone-1 has issued refund cheques amounting to Rs 122.27 million while zone-2 has issued Rs 28.66 million and zone-3 issued Rs 2.69 million rebate cheques during the said period.

He further said that the refund claims would also be cleared soon. He hoped that the payment of rebate claims will encourage business community to further speed up their trading activities.
