RTO-I attaches account of Kohe-e-Noor Enterprises, recovers Rs 5.9 million

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) has recovered Rs 5.9 million tax by attaching the bank account of Kohe-e-Noor Enterprises, involved in sales tax evasion.

Officials of the Regional Tax Office-I informed Customs Today that the RTO issued many notices to the owner of Koh-e-Noor Enterprises for the payment of sales tax, but he failed to pay the tax. Eventually, the RTO attached the account of the company and recovered Rs 5.9 million.

The recovery was made by the officials of the Regional Tax Office-I on the instruction of Sales Tax Commissioner Kahkishan Khan.

The official added that the RTO has sped up action against tax evaders to recover the evaded taxes and to meet the revenue collection target by the end of the current fiscal year 2014-15.
