RTO-I collects Rs 52 billion, RTO-II bags Rs 54 billion in April

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs 52.345 billion under the head of different taxes during April 2016.

It collected Rs 49.182 billion as income tax, Rs 3.114 billion in wake of sales tax and Rs 49 million under the head of federal excise duty (FED) during the said period. It may be mentioned here that the RTO-I generated Rs 38.235 billion, including Rs 36.086 billion as income tax, Rs 2.112 billion as sales tax and Rs 37 million during the first 20 days of April.

Meanwhile, the RTO-II collected Rs 54.273 billion under the head of different taxes during the same period. It collected Rs 51.593 billion as income tax, Rs 2.627 million in wake of sales tax and Rs 53 million under the head of federal excise duty (FED) during the said period. It may mention here that the RTO-II generated Rs 40.232 billion, including Rs 38.371 billion as income tax, Rs 1.82 billion as sales tax and Rs 41 million during first 20 days of April.
