KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) recovered a revenue of Rs 42,354 million in first 20 days of May.
Sources told Customs Today that collection process has already been geared up as the current fiscal year is going to end soon. Sources said that the RTO-I collected Rs 40,296 under the head of income tax, Rs 2,012 million as sales tax, while Rs 46 million were generated as federal excise duty (FED).
The Regional Tax Office-I collected Rs 38,235 million in first twenty days of April from which Rs 36,086 million were collected as income tax, Rs2112 million under the head of sales tax while Rs37 million were recovered under the head of federal excise duty (FED), the sources concluded as saying.
