No return filed at Facilitation Desk established by RTO-I at LCCI

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) has not received any tax return filed under Voluntarily Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) at the Facilitation Desk, which was established at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

According to details, the Regional Tax Office had established a Facilitation Desk in LCCI to educate and facilitate taxpayers on Voluntarily Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS). The RTO-I allowed the taxpayers that they could file the tax returns at Facilitation Desk.

Sources of Customs Today said that many traders, industrialists approached the Facilitation Desk and asked about the procedure of of the National Tax Number (NTN), sales tax procedure but no one filed tax returns under VTCS.

Commissioner Human Resource Management (HRM) Muhammad Ahmed directed to establish Facilitation Desk, but the Desk not received any Voluntarily Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) return within 45 days given by the FBR till date.
